INONI Cycling Clothing System · Layer 2.5 (Sweatshirts)
Layer 2.5: Cycling Jerseys
A jersey is a layer in between: in autumn it's often the last layer, and in winter, the middle layer. A good cycling jersey must cope with wind, regulate temperature, and fit comfortably in the riding position.
Layer 2.5 is a term well-known to hikers and mountain bikers – it refers to clothing that's neither a typical mid-layer nor a jacket. These are cycling jerseys: warmer than a jersey, lighter and more form-fitting than a jacket. In autumn, with temperatures between 5 and 15°C, such a jersey is often sufficient. In winter, you add a jacket (layer 3) over it.
What should a good cycling jersey offer? Comfort in an aerodynamic position, back pockets accessible on the move, moisture management, and a touch of warmth without overheating. INONI offers several different approaches to this layer—from classic pro-touring jerseys to expedition-grade Merino and innovative Primaloft.
⚡ Tip: Cycling shorts are worn without underwear – but you can wear a jersey over your base layer (layer 1). When riding below 5°C, it's worth wearing thin Merino underwear or a technical longsleeve under your jersey.

Cycling Jersey Model 290
290 Pro Sands Sweatshirt – Innovative cut for greater comfort
Layer 2.5 · Innovation · ♂
The 290 jersey is more than just a standard model – it's purposefully tailored differently. Deeper pockets on the back make it easier to access items while riding. The fit is looser in key areas, meaning you don't feel the stretch of the fabric when you're on the bike. Designed to provide maximum comfort without compromising aerodynamics.
Available in two shades of melange – warm brown (Brown Melange) and classic dark (Dark Melange). The melange material provides a unique look and natural texture.

Primaloft Expedition Sweatshirt
Expedition Must-Have – Primaloft Hooded
Layer 2.5 / 3 · Expedition · ♂ ♀
The Primaloft Must Have Hoodie is one of the smartest "what to take on the go" solutions. Primaloft is the synthetic equivalent of down fill – ultra-lightweight fibers retain warmth even when wet, and the hoodie packs down to a compact size. A hood adds head and neck protection.
It's a brilliant choice for any cycling trip: you pack it in your saddle bag pocket, pull it out when you stop at a mountain pass or when the temperature drops in the evening. Lighter and more compressible than a jacket, warmer and more windproof than a regular sweatshirt. A mid-layer in freezing temperatures, an outer layer in cold spring rain.
